The Astros Youth Academy Fall Instructional Baseball/Softball League is set to begin October 21, 2019.  The program is a baseball/softball league at the Houston Astros Youth Academy (AYA) located at Sylvester Turner Park. The league will be directed by the Houston Astros Youth Academy.  Divisions will be based on grade levels. Please select based on CURRENT grade.  ALL players/participants who register will be placed on teams by AYA Staff based on grade level and evaluated skill level. Players will need to attend the evaluation day on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019

Cost:   FREE (Game Jersey will be provided by the Astros Foundation)

Registration Dates:      September 29 - October 19, 2019

Evaluation Date:              October 17, 2019 - 6:30 p.m.
 

Limited to first 60 participants in each Division

This is is an instructional league.  Each division will play once a week with a total of 5 games during the league.

League Dates:  October 21, 2019 to November 22, 2019

Girls Softball (Grades 2-8) - Tuesdays

Boys Baseball - Rookie Division (Grades 2-5) - Thursdays

Boys Baseball - A Division (Grades 5-7) - Wednesdays

Boys Baseball - AA Division (Grades 7-9) - Thursdays

Boys Baseball - AAA Division (Grades 9-12) - Tuesdays

Players that are 7 years of age by October 21, 2019 are eligible to participate.

All games played weeknights at the Astros Youth Academy.

All players will be placed in divisions based on both grade and evaluated skill level by AYA Staff.

All evaluations will be conducted on Field 2.  Due to construction of the new Bob Watson Education Center here at the Youth Academy which will be completed in January 2020.  There is construction fencing around the area where the building will be built including a portion of the parking lot.  Parking in the Victory Dr./Office Lot will be very limited throughout the fall season.  ALL evaluations will take place on Field #2.  Field #2 access and parking will be accessed from TC Jester Blvd. via the Harris Academy Parking Lot located at 3130 Holder Forest Dr., 77088 as well as street parking.  Please see the map below.
