The 3rd Annual Cactus Jack HBCU Classic is set for Friday, February 14 through Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Daikin Park. The Classic, is an annual, round-robin collegiate baseball classic designed by the Astros Youth Academy and Astros Foundation to highlight Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and their baseball programs.
The nine-game tournament will feature Houston-area Prairie View A&M (PVAMU) and Texas Southern University (TSU), and four schools from neighboring Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama – Southern University (SUBR), Grambling State (GSU), Jackson State (JSU), and Alabama A&M University (AAMU).
- Round-robin format with three (3) games each on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- State to State game matchups (AAMU vs JSU.; SUBR vs. GSU; PVAMU vs. TSU)
- College fair hosted by the Astros Youth Academy highlighting over 100 colleges and universities.

VENDORS
Vendor Booths are available for the 2025 Cactus Jack HBCU Classic. Booths will be set up from Friday, February 14 - Sunday, February 16 along the main concourse of Daikin Park to ensure maximum exposure to tournament attendees. Standard booths will be 10'x10'. Larger sized booths will be 10'x20'. All vendors will need to obtain a Certificate of Liability Insurance to enter Minute Maid Park. Vendor Booths include:
