2020 Astros Jr. RBI League at Sylvester Turner Park (Ages 7-14) Baseball/Softball/Tball
The Astros Junior RBI program was set to begin the week of March 23, 2020. The program is a baseball/softball league at the Houston Astros Youth Academy (AYA) located at Sylvester Turner Park. The league will be directed by the Houston Astros AYA Staff. We hope that everyone continues to remain safe and healthy as we continue to adapt to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Certain activities in the state of Texas as well as the City of Houston are starting to re-open and resume activities. We continue to deal with a very fluid situation and as of now the Astros Youth Academy at Sylvester Turner Park activities remain suspended and some programs have been cancelled. Cancelled programs include the include the 2020 Astros Jr. RBI Baseball/Softball League at Sylvester Turner Park.
If you are currently not a member, please click on the following link to 'Become A Member' of the Astros Youth Academy. Parents will have to create an account in our database and then add each child member. Once the online application is submitted you will be notified through the email address you provide to sign up for all upcoming AYA Leagues, Camps, Clinics, Events and Activities. COMPLETION OF THIS APPLICATION DOES NOT REGISTER/ENROLL YOUR CHILD IN ANY PROGRAM. YOU WILL HOWEVER BE NOTIFIED OF ALL FUTURE/UPCOMING AYA ACTIVITIES INCLUDING LEAGUES, PROGRAMS, EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES THAT YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN CAN ATTEND.

Parents who are interested in volunteer coaching please download the attached Volunteer Application form and e-mail it to: uya@astros.com. Volunteer coaches will be subject to a background check and drug screening by the Houston Astros before being allowed to coach. Volunteer Forms must be submitted by March 2, 2020.

Limited to first 60 participants in each Division
Competitive League Play (This is NOT an instructional league)
League Dates: March 23, 2020 to May 1, 2020
Girls Softball 10U (ages 7-10) - Machine Pitch
Girls Softball 14U (ages 11-14)
Boys Baseball A-Division (ages 7-9)
Boys Baseball AA-Division (ages 9-12)
Boys Baseball AAA-Division (ages 12-14)
Players that are 7 years of age by April 30, 2020 or that turn 14 years of age prior to December 31, 2020 are eligible to participate.
All games played at the Astros Youth Academy weeknights at 7:00 p.m.
All players will be placed in divisions based on both age and evaluated skill level by AYA Staff. Each player MUST attend one (1) evaluation day listed below.

March 9 - 12, 2020 (All ages) - 6:30 p.m. - Astros Youth Academy
Saturday, March 14, 2020 (All ages) - 10:00 a.m. - Astros Youth Academy
